Festive Chocolate Coconut balls

A simple no-bake dessert made from crushed biscuit, cocoa, coconut, vermouth and the secret family ingredient strawberry jelly powder. These coconut balls are a beloved family recipe that grace our festive table each year.

Ingredients

  • 450 g Morning Coffee/Petit Beurre biscuits
  • 45 g cocoa powder
  • 85 g desiccated coconut extra
  • 1 packet strawberry jelly powder
  • 125 ml water 1/2 cup
  • 125 ml vermouth 1/2 cup

Instructions

  • In a food processor finely crush all the biscuits.
  • In a large bowl, add the crushed biscuits, coconut, cocoa powder, and powdered jelly. Combine together.
  • Add the water and the vermouth. With your hands mix everything well together until you achieve a sticky mixture.
  • Roll this mixture in balls and cover in coconut. Store in the fridge until ready to serve.
